Hideaway House began with a couple's Christmas getaway to Sedona in 2013. Driving home to Phoenix, each saw a shooting star and silently made the same wish. Weeks later their son proposed opening a restaurant in Sedona, and four months after that Hideaway House opened. The two stars in its logo honor that night.
The kitchen calls its food "Curious Country Italian," from family recipes: appetizers, salads, crostini, soup, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, entrées and dessert, with stunning views over the canyon.

- Open Sunday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
- Happy hour Monday to Friday, 3 to 6 p.m.
